We’re back with another weekly recap. It’s been an eventful week, to say the least. If you haven’t yet read more about how you can help with the Internet Radio Fairness Act, read this short post to get the details. We also sat down with the guy who invented the BitTorrent protocol (i.e. the reason we even exist) and found out what really makes him tick. We were as surprised as you’ll be. Of course, there were a few treasures to enjoy, courtesy of the Internet Archive. So, without further ado, let’s get to it…
This past Sunday, Mickey Rooney turned 92 years young. One of his classic movies, and what many consider a breakthrough for the actor (considering he went against the goody two-shoes “Andy Hardy” image that catapulted him to fame), Quicksand, is available for download through the Internet Archive.
The 1950 film noir also stars Peter Lorre and Jeanne Cagney. Rooney’s character “borrows” $20 from the cash register of the mechanic he works for so he can go on a date. His character gets into more trouble as he subsequently tries to cover up the evidence of the missing money when a bookkeeper shows up to the shop earlier than expected.

When you attend a baseball game (for a company outing) during the day, there’s bound to be some kind of drinking and, occasionally, that causes hiccups. How do you get rid of them?
Who would’ve ever thought the Internet Archive had a video with step-by-step instructions? We didn’t but here it is, just in case you ever need to know an easy way.
