In this week’s Staff Picks: New music from the future. WAY TOO SICK brings you new wave, folk-tech and dragon slaying meta. It’s for anyone who loves music, but hates a lot of music. WAY TOO SICK is a breath of fresh air.
Nick Cottrell: music mastermind and BitTorrent’s interaction designer for the web put together this Bundle to give you a raw look at WAY TOO SICK’s creative process. Sal’s Paradise, their latest album, used to have a different sound. Nick explains, “To make Sal’s Paradise, I recorded the same set of songs twice. The Red version is acoustic; the Blue version is electronic. The final version of Sal’s Paradise is a polished mix of what came out of those recordings. But, I still love the originals. I listen to Blue a lot because it’s a little bit more rough than the final cut. That’s what’s exciting about the Bundle format: you can release songs that aren’t necessarily you’re most polished – stuff that is a little grittier, stuff that you still love.”
We think you’re going to love it, too. Download the Bundle to get both demo versions of Sal’s Paradise, Fixed Noise, and The Blissless EP.
